I reckon the whole sector is too competitive and only going to get more so with Amazons arrival.

Anyone following Greencross? Shares are being slammed. Down 20% at the moment off the back of the following trading update.

Another example of how tough bricks and mortar retail is at the moment.

There's a heap of competition from on-line pet stores and their key operating costs: wages, property expenses and electricity are all very high in Australia.

Therefore, if they're having trouble growing revenue due to competition, its going to really hurt margins.

That's why this announcement includes a strategic review being undertaken by the business and a plan to reduce operating costs through a restructure.

The big question is whether today's price fall is an over reaction and therefore a buying opportunity?
